When authors Darcy Eveleigh and Rachel L. Swarns uncovered long-buried images of black history in The New York Times archives, they began exploring the history behind them and created Unseen, a book of never-before published photographs. Eveleigh and Swarns come together for a presentation and discussion of these archives, moderated by Lucyle Hook Professor of English and Professor of Africana Studies Kim F. Hall, that will provide insight into what is news and who gets to decide. Co-sponsored by the Council on Diversity and Inclusion. Book sales by Bookculture and signing to follow.
